Art Club

An opportunity for students see how our State and Federal Governments work, close up! Meets once per week. Open to Juniors and Seniors. Sponsors: Mr. John Archambeau
Concert Choir
This is a regular class that meets daily and is a credit class (elective). Contact: Mrs. Dehn in the Music Room.
Concert Band
This is an elective class for credit at Salida High. Meets daily. Contact: Mr. Wilkens
Jazz Band
A special group playing jazz, latin and rock style music. Meets daily during the “zero hour” from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Jazz Band is a regular class, taken as an elective for credit. Students have the option of taking Jazz Band as a weighted credit with additional expectations. Students are required to audition prior to enrollment in this group. Contact: Mr. Wilkens

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)
A vocational organization that helps develop lifelong leadership skills, business skills, and promotes student self-esteem. Meets once a month, before school. Students can earn a letter in this club. Sponsor: Mrs. Lynn Stagner
Family Community Career Leaders of America (FCCLA)
A vocational club with both competitive and social events. Students can be involved in projects that are both community- and family-based. Formerly called FHA, this club is open to any student grades 9-12. Meets monthly. Scholarships available. Sponsor: Mrs. Kathy Tessitore
SHS Interact
Rotary Club International’s Interact service club for young people ages 12 to 18. Interact clubs are sponsored by individual Rotary clubs, which provide support and guidance, but they are self-governing and self-supporting. Contact: SHS Principal Tami Thompson
Key Club Kiwanis Educating Youth
A school-community based organization for any student grades 9 – 12, co-sponsored by the local Kiwanis Club, to help teach youth about the importance of community service. Meets the first and third Wednesday of every month during lunch. Sponsor: Mrs. Delaney
Knowledge Bowl
A competitive organization that meets Sept. – May. Practices are twice a week during the lunch hour. Open to any student grades 9 – 12. Sponsor: Mr. Archambeau

This is our High School Yearbook. Le Resumé meets as a class. Students must contact Mrs. Emily Lamont before enrolling.
Mountain Bike Team
