Counselors

The Salida School District employs a team of professionals to support our students as they grow and learn.

School Counselors

School Counselors hold a minimum of a Master's Degree and are licensed Special Service Providers through the Colorado Department of Education. Consistent with the American School Counselor Association's National Model, our school counselors define, deliver, manage and assess our school counseling programs to improve outcomes for all students in each of our buildings.

They provide both direct and indirect services to students. Direct services may include activities such as individual counseling or instruction, and indirect service examples include consultation, collaboration, or referrals. They work with teachers, school leaders, families and community partners to support the School District mission.
